Bangladesh is not even safe for Sakib Al Ahsan

Recently Sakib Al Ahsan has resumed his cricket career after year long ban by ICC. He has spent almost the entire time our of Bangladesh. He is married to a USA citizen. But do you really know why he spend most of the time in USA for most of the period? Some of you may think, due to Covid - 19, but everyone knows USA has got more infected people than in Bangladesh. Than what might be reason for him to stay there? Are you going to say that his family lives there? Then even additional credit to my question, why his family living in USA where as he is one of the leading player of national cricket team? I will try my best to give you the truth of all the above and other related questions in today's article.

If you remember, before the last national parlametry election, along with Mashrafee Bin Mortuza, Sakib was also looking for nomination for fighting for MP election from his local area; but he was told not to at that time, rather focus more on his sporting career and get himself involved with local activities. Despite him having so much close and good relationship with this PM Sheikh Hasina, he was not given nomination from the party. The reason why I am telling you this, will be clearer later in this article. Now, like other, Sakib Al Ahsan knows very well that his future is not in Bangladesh. He definitely knows, he and his family does not have a safe future in this country. Why? I am going to explain that step by step.

Lets look at his political ambition. If he join active politics, he knows very well that he will not be safe in Bangladesh, let alone his family. And by some of his recent past activities, its clear that he is already prepared for it. Now, you may raise question why it may not be safe for him to live in this country. Answer to that is connected to many things, specially his beliefs and personality. And Bangladeshi people are fundamentally blindly religious and stupid. They can be manipulated very easily. Opposition just will need to play dirty political game to make his life hell. 

He has mixed with so many people from so many countries and beliefs. Now recently he has visited India by an invitation for an event. Now, people have been spreading the fake news that he went there to attend a Hindu religious event. Now my point is, what is the problem with that, even that was true. Any human being must have the right and freedom to express, attend any faith and beliefs. If that person, does not have any faith or belief, that also must be accepted, and that is their right of being an human. People those are critisizing him just based on him attending a other religion's event, how dark their minds are. 

Now, I would have loved Sakib Al Ahsan to say everyone that why he should be sorry for attending any other event which is organised by other religion, even though he said that the news is fake. Its a shame, instead of doing that he tried to prove himself proud muslim and he was trying to justify. I can gurantee that is not what he wanted to say. However, he should have defended his own thought and beliefs around attending and joining festivals. I don't know Bangladeshi people are so mean about this things. People used to be more loving and passionate about each other many years ago. But risk here, if Sakib Al Ahsan stands on his ground of openness and respect to all religions, believer, non-believers; he will sacrifice his cricketing career, his political career's dream in the country and he will not remain safe for a second in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina might like him, but she is so cunning that she will use him for her political gain, but will never support him if it goes against her political gain.

So Sakib, speak your mind, don't lose yourself.
